Role Summary
R-DATS Consulting is seeking an analytically sharp, highly articulate, and AI-literate recent Master’s graduate to join our commercial engine. This fast-track role is designed to groom technical writers capable of interpreting complex international donor RFPs (e.g., World Bank, UNICEF, FCDO), designing competitive research methodologies, and drafting winning technical and financial proposals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization’s strategic growth through market research, business planning, data analysis, performance monitoring, proposal development, and management reporting.
Core Responsibilities
- Identifying new business and funding opportunities.
- Supporting the drafting of technical and financial components of proposals, including project context, technical approach, and research methodologies.
- Supporting the development of proposal compliance matrices, work plans (Gantt charts), and staffing structures.
- Conducting comprehensive literature reviews to support proposal backgrounds.
- Assisting with the creation of business plans, financial models, and strategic pitches.
- Analyzing business data and developing internal performance dashboards.
- Preparing high-quality reports and presentations for senior management.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and overall organizational growth.
Required Profile & Skills
Education
Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Business, Public Policy, Public Health, Demography, Sociology, Entrepreneurship, or a related social science field.
Writing Expertise
Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex academic and operational concepts into clear, compelling text.
Technical Knowledge
A solid conceptual understanding of research designs (experimental, quasi-experimental, and mixed-methods).
Software Proficiency
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization or dashboards is an asset.
Core Skills
Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, project organization, and documentation ability.
AI Literacy
Proficiency or moderate comfort level with AI productivity tools is highly advantageous.
Interest
A strong passion for business analysis, market research, proposal writing, and international development work.
Programme Duration & Career Path
Duration
3 months Management Trainee Programme (renewable for another 3 months based on performance).
Retention
Highly successful trainees will have the opportunity to be retained as full-time permanent employees based on exceptional performance and business alignment at the end of the programme.
