Job Description

We are seeking a creative, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Interior Design Associate to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, understand how to combine furniture, lighting, colours, décor, and accessories to create beautiful and functional spaces, and be comfortable working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting furniture, lighting, décor, rugs, accessories, and other products that suit their spaces, preferences, and budgets.
  • Provide professional interior styling and design recommendations to customers.
  • Develop room concepts, mood boards, colour combinations, and product selections.
  • Assist with space planning, furniture placement, and layout recommendations.
  • Understand customers' requirements and translate them into suitable design solutions.
  • Take or interpret room measurements to recommend appropriately sized furniture and décor.
  • Prepare product recommendations and quotations for customers.
  • Follow up with prospective customers and help convert design consultations into sales.
  • Assist customers with selecting materials, finishes, colours, fabrics, and complementary pieces.
  • Support interior design projects for homes, offices, shortlets, lounges, and other spaces.
  • Visit project locations when necessary for measurements, consultations, or design assessments.
  • Work closely with sales, logistics, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of available products, specifications, dimensions, and design applications.
  • Stay updated on interior design, furniture, lighting, and home décor trends.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the consultation and purchase process.

Requirements

Degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in

Interior Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field

is an advantage.

  • Previous experience in interior design, furniture, home décor, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong sense of colour, proportion, furniture placement, and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to understand room dimensions and basic space planning.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to recommend products confidently and contribute to sales.
  • Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic knowledge of design tools such as

AutoCAD, SketchUp, Canva, Photoshop, or similar software

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.
